The redesign addressed the challenge of transforming a one-bedroom layout into a comfortable two-bedroom home without losing its openness. With natural light entering only along the shorter side, the new organization had to create privacy without closing the interior.

The new bedroom occupies the former kitchen, enclosed by glass panels framed with wooden arches. Light continues into the plan, while layered curtains allow the room to shift between openness and retreat. The relocated kitchen leaves the dining and living areas generous and open.

A soft, monochromatic palette quiets the transformation. Bouclé, carpet, curtains and upholstery bring warmth, balanced by glass, timber and brass. The children’s room feels cocooned yet open. Through transparency and enclosure, the apartment gains a second bedroom while preserving lightness, intimacy and calm.
