The redesign of this family apartment focused on reworking a space shaped in the late 1990s, where classical details felt outdated and lacked a cohesive identity. Rather than erase its history, the design retained what carried meaning: plaster moldings, ornamental parquet and a brick fireplace rooted in the owner’s childhood memories.

These inherited elements shape a new, more structured architectural language, balancing tradition with modern clarity. By quieting the interior, the fireplace becomes its emotional centre, while the moldings, arches, wall lights and parquet emerge as active parts of the composition.

A refined palette guides the transformation. Dark oak brings depth and continuity while highlighting the inherited elements; neutral furnishings introduce softness and restraint. Through precise organization and considered detail, the apartment is not given a new identity but allowed to rediscover its own.
